The ‘From Australia to Cuba with Love’ Campaign Begins Join the campaign against the US blockade of Cuba while you travel!

Brisbane, 9 September 2025. Now in its fourth year, the ‘From Australia to Cuba with Love’ campaign has begun, this time with the aim of raising funds for urgent medical supplies and raising public awareness of the current challenges facing Cubans, who have been living under the yoke of US sanctions for more than six decades.

Cuban Ambassador to Australia attends Brazil's National Day celebrations 

 

Canberra, 9 September 2025 - The Cuban Ambassador to Australia, Tanieris Diéguez, took part in the event organised by the Brazilian Embassy in Australia to mark the anniversary of Brazil's National Day. 

During the meeting, she conveyed to her counterpart and colleague Ambassador Fred Arruda greetings from the Cuban authorities to the Brazilian people on such an important date.  

Concert for Cuba in the Melbourne Recital Center

Melbourne, 6 September 2025. A Cuban music concert sponsored by the group Artists for Peace in collaboration with the Cuban Embassy was held tonight at the Melbourne Recital Centre.

The project leader, soprano Ayşe Göknur Shanal, was accompanied by Karella Mitchell (cello), Cheryl Oxley (piano) and Jess Ciampa on percussion.

It was an evening where the audience in this Australian city was able to enjoy emblematic pieces of Cuban music, both popular and classical, including ‘Lágrimas Negras,’ “Malagueña” and classics such as the internationally known ‘Chan Chan.’

Cuban Ambassador participates in exchange meeting with ALABC

 

Canberra, 3 September. Today, an exchange meeting took place in this city between the various accredited Latin American embassies and ALABC.
During the meeting, topics such as the importance of strengthening trade and business ties between Latin America and Australia in various priority sectors such as mining, energy and tourism were discussed. 
The meeting was attended by the President of ALABC and the Australian Deputy Foreign Minister.
