Cuban Ambassador presents Medal of Friendship to Maree Dellora, President of ACFS Melbourne

Melbourne, 17 August 2025 – The Cuban Ambassador to Australia, Tanieris Diéguez La O, awarded the Medal of Friendship to Maree Dellora, president of the Melbourne branch of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS), in recognition of her more than 40 years of dedication to the solidarity movement with Cuba.

The presentation was an emotional tribute to Dellora's tireless work in promoting friendship between the peoples of Cuba and Australia.

The Communist Party of Australia congratulates the Communist Party of Cuba on its centenary

Canberra, 16 August 2025 - The Communist Party of Australia (CPA) sent its warmest greetings to the members and leadership of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) on the occasion of the centenary of its founding on August 16, 1925.

The CPA reiterated its solidarity with the Cuban people in their struggle against the criminal US blockade and in defense of their right to self-determination and sovereignty.

Cuban ambassador participates in the launch of the Venezuelan film “Alí Primera”

Solidarity friends send donation to Cuba from Australia

Canberra, 2 August 2025 - The Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (Brisbane Branch) sent medical supplies to Cuba through member Jeanine de Almeida, who participated in the Brazilian Caravan of Solidarity in mid-July.

This shipment was made possible thanks to the support of the Queensland Nurses and Midwives' Union, which facilitated contact with Save Our Supplies, an organization that generously donated the materials sent.
