South Australian Minister of Aboriginal Affairs receives Cuban Ambassador to Adelaide

Adelaide, 28 March 2025, The Cuban Ambassador to Australia was received this morning by Kyam Maher, Minister of Aboriginal Affairs and Leader of the Legislative Council of South Australia.

During the meeting, they discussed various issues of bilateral interest, among them the cooperation between Cuba and Australia with the application of the “Yes, I can" method in Aboriginal populations for more than 12 years with the participation of Cuban professionals.

The Consultation of the solidarity with Cuba begins in Australia

Adelaide, 28 March, 2025. Delegates arrived today in Adelaide for the ACFS National Consultation, which will be held until March 30, 2025.

The agenda of the event includes a report on the activities carried out by the different branches of the ACFS in solidarity with Cuba during 2024, as well as the results of the actions of the Southern Cross Brigade, among other informative sessions.

Ambassador of Cuba received by Deputy Speaker of the Australian Parliament

Canberra, March 26, 2025. The Cuban Ambassador was received at the headquarters of the Australian Federal Parliament by Deputy Speaker, MP Sharon Claydon, who has also served as Co-Chair of the Parliamentary Group for Friendship with Cuba.

During the meeting, the Cuban diplomat thanked Sharon for her position against the U.S. Block against Cuba and her intense work during 2024 to strengthen ties between Cuba and Australia.

National Cuba Solidarity Consultation in Australia Approaching

Adelaide, March 26, 2025. During the next weekend will be held in the city of Adelaide, the National Consultation of the ACFS.

The event brings together all branches of the Cuba solidarity movement in Australia.

Friends of Cuba will speak out against the Blockade and demand the exclusion of our country from the List of Countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.

Several projects will be discussed at the annual meeting. The Cuban Ambassador will present the main activities carried out during the previous year.
