Cuban Ambassador participates in exchange meeting with ALABC

 

Canberra, 3 September. Today, an exchange meeting took place in this city between the various accredited Latin American embassies and ALABC.
During the meeting, topics such as the importance of strengthening trade and business ties between Latin America and Australia in various priority sectors such as mining, energy and tourism were discussed. 
The meeting was attended by the President of ALABC and the Australian Deputy Foreign Minister.

Cuban ambassador makes official visit to Queensland

Brisbane, 21 August 2025 – The Cuban Ambassador to Australia made an official visit to the state of Queensland, strengthening ties of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and this Australian region. The visit, which included meetings with local authorities, community leaders, Cuban community and representatives of the solidarity movement, reaffirmed the commitment of both peoples to promoting cultural, educational, and social exchange.

Cuban ambassador participates in art exhibition by friends of Cuba

Melbourne, 17 August 2025 – The Cuban ambassador to Australia, Tanieris Diéguez La O, participated in the opening of an exhibition of photographs and paintings by Australian friends Simon and Phil Kreveldi. The exhibition, organized in collaboration with the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS), took place in Melbourne, highlighting the power of art as an expression of solidarity.

The ambassador praised the artists' commitment to promoting Cuban culture and their support for the fight against the economic blockade imposed on Cuba.

Cuban Ambassador presents Medal of Friendship to Maree Dellora, President of ACFS Melbourne

Melbourne, 17 August 2025 – The Cuban Ambassador to Australia, Tanieris Diéguez La O, awarded the Medal of Friendship to Maree Dellora, president of the Melbourne branch of the Australia-Cuba Friendship Society (ACFS), in recognition of her more than 40 years of dedication to the solidarity movement with Cuba.

The presentation was an emotional tribute to Dellora's tireless work in promoting friendship between the peoples of Cuba and Australia.
