Cuban Ambassador participates in commemoration of the 50th Anniversary of the coup d'état against Salvador Allende in Melbourne.

Melbourne, September 11, 2023. The Trade Hall at the Victoria St. Carlton commemorated the 50th Anniversary of the coup d'état against President Salvador Allende in 1953.

The Cuban Ambassador to Australia was one of the speakers at the emotional event. In her remarks she highlighted the close friendship that existed between the leader of the Cuban Revolution, Commander Fidel Castro and President Salvador Allende, as well as the ties that unite the Cuban and Chilean peoples.

Cuban Ambassador visits Cuban and contemporary dance academy Paradox Studio

Brisbane, August 19, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia visited Paradox Studios YCV Dance, a dance academy located in the city of Brisbane, Queensland. During the visit, she exchanged with its director Yasim Coronado, a Cuban resident in Australia, about the awards and future projects of the Academy, in particular about the promotion of Cuban culture and traditions in the field of dance.

Cuban Ambassador exchanges with Australia's Minister for Indigenous Peoples Lynda Burney

Brisbane, August 18, 2023. The Cuban Ambassador to Australia exchanged this morning with the Minister for Indigenous Affairs in Australia, Lynda Burney, at the Convention Center in Brisbane. 

During the exchange, the diplomat referred to the experience of the application of the Cuban method "Yo si puedo" in the Australian indigenous communities and the cooperation with the foundation "Literacy for Life", as well as the success obtained with the implementation of the program with the participation of Cuban teachers.
