Representatives of civil society organizations, with the support of regional and international organizations based in Cuba, of social actors and organizations, religious, fraternal and national institutions, gathered for the 14th Forum of Civil Society Organizations against the Blockade, have agreed:
1. To condemn unequivocally the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the Government of the United States of America against the Cuban people.
New York, October 20, 2017. Education, sports and culture are inalienable rights for all Cubans during their lifetime. The Cuban government allocates a significant amount of financial and human resources annually to guarantee universal, equitable and free access to quality education for all Cubans. However, these efforts are directly affected by the effects of the US blockade against Cuba.
