Haiti is facing a serious multidimensional crisis that has worsened social instability, poverty and structural underdevelopment resulting from centuries of colonial and neocolonial pillaging and foreign interventions. The international community is greatly indebted to Haiti, the Caribbean nation that carried out the first independence, anti-slavery and social revolution in the continent.
The secretary general of the Federation of Cuban Women (FMC), Teresa Amarelle Boué, heads the Cuban delegation to the 68th annual session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW68) of the United Nations.
Cuba reiterated, today, at United Nations, the urgent need to achieve a comperhensive, just and lasting solution to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, based on the creation of two States, which would allow the Palestinian people to exercise their right to self-determination and to have an independent and sovereign State within the pre-1967 borders.
The information obtained is being currently processed by the authorities in charge of following up on such a thorough and important investigation. Meanwhile, procedures are being followed with several governments and international actors in search for cooperation and further clarification.
The genocide against the Palestinian people is not limited to the current stage of the extermination war being waged by Israel. All this with the complicit attitude of the United States of America, which prevents the international community from acting to protect the Palestinian people.
