The Comptroller General of Cuba, Gladys Bejarano, ratified her country's commitment to preventing and confronting corruption, because "it is an inextricable part of the principles that we defend", at the Tenth Session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (CoSP10).
Cuba attends the Tenth Session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Convention against Corruption (CoSP10), which began this Monday in Atlanta, United States. The delegation is headed by Comptroller General, Gladys Bejerano, and composed by officials from the Attorney General's Office and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Cuba will continue its efforts in the fight against terrorism, of which it has been a victim, with 3,478 deaths and 2,099 disabled due to actions organized, financed and perpetrated mainly from the territory of the United States by individuals and organizations that operate there with the acquiescence, complicity and protection of the government of that country.
Ambassador Gerardo Peñalver Portal, First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, participated in the Second Meeting of States Parties to the Treaty on the Prohibition of Nuclear Weapons. During his speech, Peñalver Portal explained that the TPNW complements the international architecture of security, disarmament and non-proliferation.
As part of the preparation for the 28th Conference of the Parties to the Convention on Climate Change, which begins on November 30 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, the Group of 77 and China, under the leadership of the Cuban presidency, began the coordination meetings prior to COP 28, which will last for two days of work.
