We, the Heads of State and Government of the member countries of the Group of 77 and China, meeting in Havana, Cuba, on September 15 and 16, 2023, for the Group's Summit on Current Development Challenges: The Role of Science, Technology and Innovation, convinced of the urgent need to act together, reaffirm our full adherence to the spirit, principles and objectives of the Group of 77 and China.

Nigerian official visits Cuban Foreign Ministry headquarters in Abuja.

 

Nigeria, September 14th, 2023.- This morning, at the headquarters of the Cuban Foreign Ministry in Nigeria, Mrs. Miriam Morales Palmero, Cuban ambassador in this country, received Mr. Ibrahim Halodu, an official from the Protocol Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Nigeria (MFA).

Nigeria heading to the G77+China Summit

Abuja, September 12, 2023:-The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Miriam Morales Palmeros, said goodbye at the Abuja International Airport to the Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency Kashim Shettima. The Ambassador begins his tour with Cuba as his final destination with the objetive to participate in the Summit of heads of state and government of the G77+China that will take place in Havana on September 15 and 16.

Meeting with Permanent Secretary of the MFA

Abuja, September 9, 2023.- This morning the Cuban Ambassador, Miriam Morales Palmero, was received at the headquarters of the Nigerian Foreign Ministry by Ambassador Ademu Ibrahim Lamuwa, permanent secretary of the Nigerian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

New beginnings between Cuba and the Ogun State Senate

Abuja, September 7th, 2023.- Mrs. Miriam Morales, ambassador of the Republic of Cuba in Nigeria, received His Excellency Mr. Otunba Engr. Gbenga Daniel, senator for the state of Ogun.

During the meeting they addressed topics of common interest, especially those related to the health sector. The Senator recognized Cuba's advances in medicine and highlighted the cultural and religious ties that unite us with the State of Ogun, a practitioner of the Yoruba religion, with part of the Cuban population.
