Paris, 23 April 2026.– The 224th session of the Executive Board of UNESCO, held from 8 to 23 April 2026 at the Organization’s Headquarters, provided a platform for Cuba to reaffirm its commitment to peace, multilateralism, and international cooperation, while denouncing the tightening of hostile policies by the United States against the Island.

“It’s a sensitive matter that, as we have said, we have managed discreetly,” he said.
The Cuban official confirmed that assistant secretaries from the U.S. State Department met with a Cuban delegation led by a deputy minister of foreign relations.
