Port of Spain, December 28th, 2019. The Cuban community in Trinidad and Tobago celebrated with the Cuban Embassy the Triumph of the Revolution and the advent of the New Year. The occasion was propitious to officially present the new head of Consular Affairs, Patricia Pita Calderón.
The main words were given by the Cuban Ambassador, Tania Diego Olite, who congratulated everyone present and highlighted the courage shown by the Cuban people during 2019 in light of the intensified measures of the US blockade against Cuba.
With the aim of commemorating 167 years of the birth of our National Hero José Martí, the Cuban Embassy calls on the children of our resident Cuban community in Trinidad and Tobago to participate in the Contest "The Golden Age". There will be a competition in the categories of drawing, poetry, composition and story. The deadline for the submission of entries will be on January 20, 2020. The winning entries will be announced on January 28, 2020.

Port of Spain, December 14th. The Cuban mission in that country accompanied the collaborators of the Cuban Medical Brigade in the closing of the National Scientific Day. During the event, 18 papers were presented, of which 7 were awarded, resulting in 3 being relevant, 1 prominent and 3 mentions. The closing remarks were given by the Cuban ambassador, Tania Diego Olite, whose emotional words highlighted the human quality, solidarity and responsibility of our doctors in the fulfillment of duty.
