As part of the preparations prior to the start of the Special World Olympic Games in the capital Abu Dhabi, the Head of the Delegation of Cuba, Mirian Menéndez Peña, participated in the seminar of the Heads of Delegations of Spanish-speaking countries, carried out from March 5 to 6 at the sports venue in Dubai.
The head of the diplomatic mission in the United Arab Emirates, Jorge León Cruz, and the Cuban sports delegation to the Special World Olympic Games, chaired by the methodology of the Ministry of Education, Mirian Menéndez Peña, participated in the closure of the Host City Program that, prior to the start of the competitions, all delegations were offered to enjoy the hospitality, customs and traditions of the country through artistic, cultural and community events.
The Cuban delegation to the XV Summer Special Olympics World Games is already in the United Arab Emirates and actively participates in the Host City Program that is offered to all delegations before starting the competitions to enjoy hospitality, the customs and traditions of the country through artistic, cultural and community events.
They exhibit emblematic works by Wilfredo Lam in the Louvre Museum in Abu Dhabi, Napoleon's most famous painting and a large collection of Rembrandt's works.
In the new Embassy of Cuba in the United Arab Emirates they also took the vote as part of the celebration of the constitutional referendum for the new Magna Carta, previously approved by the Cuban Parliament.
