OECS Commission Official Statement
The Organisation of Eastern Caribbean States (OECS) welcomes the recent decision by the Government of the United States of America (USA) to remove the Republic of Cuba from its list of States that are “not cooperating fully” in its fight against terrorism.
New York, June 15, 2024.- The Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) and the Group of 77 and China, through their Joint Coordinating Committee, demanded the immediate exclusion of Cuba from the unilateral list of countries that allegedly sponsor terrorism.
Havana, June 13, 2024 - The United Nations General Assembly today debated the topic: "Elimination of unilateral extraterritorial coercive economic measures used as an instrument of political and economic coercion".
Speaking on behalf of Cuba, Deputy Foreign Minister Elio Rodríguez Perdomo denounced the negative impact of the criminal and illegal blockade imposed by the US government against the island. He rejected the application of unilateral coercive measures and demanded their elimination, as they violate the United Nations Charter and International Law.

The Global Pan African Movement condemns the Illegal Blockade, the imposition of Coercive Sanctions, and the Listing and Labelling Disinformation Tactics employed by the United States against and the Cuban People and their government.
The Global Pan African Movement stands in solidarity with the People and Government of Cuba demanding the immediate removal of Cuba from the US Government’s politically determined systematically concocted, biased and unjustified list of countries that the US government unilaterally decrees support terrorism’!
