Nassau, 11 September 2019. The first part of Cuba's humanitarian aid, for Bahamians affected by Hurricane Dorian arrived this afternoon in The Bahamas. Raciel Proenza, Deputy General Director for Economic Collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, officially handed over the donation. He was accompanied by Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter. Proenza announced that a second delivery of humanitarian aid would leave Cuba by ship shortly.

I express the willingness to cooperate, within our means, in the mitigation of damages.
The Bahamas, 27 August 2019. In recent days, the Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, was received by the Ambassador of the People's Republic of China in this Caribbean nation, H.E. Mr. Huang Qinguo. During the fraternal meeting both diplomats exchanged on the areas of mutual cooperation. They also talked about the historical ties that unite the peoples of Cuba and China.
