Today, the 17th of April, we celebrate another anniversary of the start of the military aggression at the Bay of Pigs (Playa Girón) in 1961. The decisive response of the Cuban people in defense of the Revolution and socialism resulted in the first military defeat of imperialism in the Americas, in just 72 hours.
Nassau, 16 April 2019. In a cordial meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in The Bahamas, the Ambassador-Designate of Chile, Excmo. Mr. Francisco J. Bernales paid a courtesy call on the Cuban Ambassador, Ismara Vargas Walter. They both exchanged about topics of common interest, in a pleasant atmosphere.
Nassau, 9 April 2019. In a cordial meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to The Bahamas, the Ambassador-Designate of Zambia, His Excellency Mr. Felix N. Mfula paid a courtesy call on the Cuban Ambassador, Ismara Vargas Walter. They both exchanged about the historical links between their nations, and the immense legacy of Fidel in the African continent. Mr. Mfula mentioned the opening of the Embassy of Zambia in Havana in the near future.
Nassau, 7 April 2018. The Cuban capital will be the venue for Technical Talks between the Royal Bahamas Defense Force (RBDF) and the Cuban Border Patrol (TGF, in Spanish) on 8 and 9 April.
