Castries, November 25, 2025 – The Saint Lucia-Cuba Friendship Association joins the international tribute to Fidel Castro on the 9th anniversary of his death.
With a post on social media and an introductory interview for the Association's General Meeting to be held next December, the Association pays tribute to the Cuban and world leader, who had close ties to Saint Lucia and the Caribbean in general.
The exaggerated and aggressive military presence of the United States in the region constitutes a threat against Latin America and the Caribbean as a whole.
With the encouragement of the Secretary of State, the main and immediate target is the violent overthrow of the government of Venezuela through the use of U.S. military force, an extremely dangerous and irresponsible action with unpredictable and incalculable consequences.
Given the manifest degree of threat, this constitutes a violation of International Law and the Charter of the United Nations.
Vieux Fort, November 22, 2025 - The team from southern Saint Lucia, comprised of healthcare workers from Vieux Fort and Soufrière, paid a well-deserved tribute to our Commander-in-Chief Fidel Castro on the 9th anniversary of his passing.
