The Cuban delegation of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and the National Bureau of Statistics of Cuba on a working visit in Ireland held an exchange with the entity "Marketing English in Ireland", during the meeting the visitor realized the potential of this institution in the preparation of foreign students for learning English as a foreign language.

Dublin. September, 2018. From 11 to 15 September, a delegation of Cuban officials visits the Irish capital, as part of a study visit sponsored by the Cuba-European Union Expert Program, to search  about experiences of this country in the export of services and its statistical capture. The delegation consists of officials from the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment (MINCEX) and the National Bureau of Statistics of Cuba (ONEI) and has been accompanied by Ambassador Hugo René Ramos Milanés.

Conference on Cuba and blockade at the University of Pretoria

The Embassy was invited by the Department of Spanish to participate in a conference on Cuba, in this center of high studies.

In an auditorium of the Faculty of Humanities, with more than 50 students from different careers, the Minister Counselor, Rebeca Hernández, offered a conference on the main achievements of the Cuban Revolution and the impact of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the government of the United States to our country.

The economic, commercial and financial blockade that the US government has imposed on Cuba since 1962 has been strengthened by the current administration of Donald Trump, who signed on June 16, 2017 in Miami, the "National Security Presidential Memorandum on the Strengthening of the United States Policy toward Cuba".
