Former Associate Minister for Foreign Affairs, Matt Robson, hosts Cuban Ambassador in Auckland.

Auckland, August 11th – Friends of Cuba, led by former associate minister for foreign affairs, Matt Robson, hosted Ambassador Alzugaray on his transit in Auckland during his trip to Niue.

Present at the event were diverse personalities from Auckland’s social and business life, also interest in ways to promote closer links between Cuba and New Zealand, and express their support for the Caribbean nation.

Cuba hands over a US citizen claimed by Interpol

On August 9, 2018, the Cuban government proceeded in Havana to the hand over to authorities of the US Government a US citizen wanted by that country´s justice system for crimes committed in the US, and for whom there is an Interpol warrant of seizure, with a Red Alert. This individual entered the national territory on July 31, 2018.
