Cuba awards scholarships to Bahamian students to study medical careers

NASSAU, 30 June 2018.- A few hours ago, the Embassy of Cuba in The Bahamas hosted an emotional ceremony to bid farewell to the four Bahamian students who were benefited with the scholarship program offered by Cuba every year in many countries around the world. This event was attended by family members of the students and members of the Cuban diplomatic mission.

Cuban Medical Team Holds Sixteenth Scientific Meeting

The Cuban Medical Team, held their sixteenth Scientific Meeting in Banjul on 30th June 2018 at the Edward Francis Small Teaching Hospital. The Head of Department, Basic Science UTG, Rebecca Lahera Cabrales, welcomed their collaborators and Gambian brothers and colleagues, who their share jobs with.

Exchange with Barbadian hikers to Cuba

On the initiative of its coordinator, Professor Nicolas Vaughan, the Cuban Embassy hosted an interesting exchange of information to motivate a group of Barbadian hikers who will visit several Cuban provinces for the first time in August; to this end, both the Cuban ambassador, Francisco Fernández, and the Saintlucian solidarity leader Rawle Harvey, made presentations on the most relevant aspects of the history, culture, tourist opportunities on the island and the characteristics of the Cuban population.

The Sumgait Technology Park (STP), Azerbaijan, plans to participate in the 36th edition of the International Fair of Havana (FIHAV 2018), with the aim of promoting products produced in its 12 factories.

STP is a unique plant complex in the Caucasus region that, in addition to meeting the requirements of the domestic market, wants to be known in other continents, explained Chingiz Aliyev, commercial director of the entity, to the Cuban ambassador, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo.

Cuba-TT trade continues to grow

Port of Spain, 28 Jun.- 2018. Minister of Trade and Industry Senator the Honourable Paula Gopee-Scoon recently met with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, His Excellency Rogelio Sierra Diaz to discuss among other things, opportunities for increased trade with Cuba.

Trinidad and Tobago is currently Cuba’s largest CARICOM trading partner, recording 80% of trade in the region.
