Cuba participates in Latin American festival in Kuala Lumpur

Kuala Lumpur, May 22nd- The Embassy of Cuba participated in the 9th edition of the Kuala Lumpur Latin American and Caribbean Festival, which took place on May 21 in Plaza Low Yat with the support of the city's mayor.

This Latin American party is organized by the ten embassies of the countries of our region and is one of the largest celebrated in Southeast Asia in terms of attendance.

The Latin American Festival began nine years ago on the initiative of Cuba and Venezuela.

Cuban President congratulates Hassan Rouhani on his re-election

The president of the Councils of State and Ministers of the Republic of Cuba, Army General Raul Castro Ruz, sent a message to Dr. Hassan Rouhani, on the occasion of his re-election as President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, following the elections held in the Persian nation on Friday May 19th.

 

In this message the president extended cordial congratulations on behalf of the Cuban people and Government, ratifying the will to continue strengthening relations of friendship and cooperation between Cuba and Iran.

 

Celebrating 26 Years of Belizean-Cuban Cooperation in Medicine

Doctors, Nurses, Technicians and other medical personnel gathered at the Inspiration Center for the first Cuba-Belize medical symposium. The event was put together to mark twenty- six years since Cuba started partnering with Belize for medical work. Since then the assistance extended to Belize has expanded to include scholarships and other forms of medical aid. Andrea Polanco was at today’s symposium and shares how medical institutions and people of Belize have benefited from this cooperation with Cuba.
