Delegation wraps up official visit to Cuba

A delegation consisting of government ministers and experts from Belize led by Deputy Prime Minister Patrick Faber recently concluded an official visit to the Republic of Cuba.

The tour was held from May 22-26. Faber was accompanied by Tourism Minister Manuel Heredia Jr. and Health Minister of State Dr. Angel Campos.

The delegation met with Cuban ministers of External Trade, Culture, Tourism and Health. They were officially welcomed by Cuba’s vice President H.E. Salvador Valde’s Mesa.

Chargé d'Affaires of Cuba in Liberia delivers a conference to Liberian university students.

Vientiane, 25 May. Today the delegation of the Communist Party of Cuba led by comrade José Ramón Balaguer Cabrera, Member of the Secretariat of the Central Committee and Head of its Department of International Relations, and also integrated by comrade Yanila Reyes Paret, an official of the Department, was received at Lao People's Revolutionary Party headquarters by comrade Sounthone Xayachack, Member of the Central Committee of the Party and Chairperson of the Committee for External Relations.

Tribute to Martí in Athens

Athens, May 20: It was a held an emotional Tribute to the national hero and apostle of the independence of Cuba José Martí Pérez, on the bust situated in the square that bears his name in the center of Athens, Greece.

In the event, presented by the Cuban Embassy counselor José Oriol Marrero Martínez, was deposited an offering of white flowers "for the sincere friend who gave me his honest hand”.

Kenya and Cuba signed in Geneva a Memorandum of Understanding in Health.

Geneva, May 23, 2017. In the framework of the current World Health Assembly in Geneva, Switzerland, the Secretary of the Cabinet of Health of Kenya, Dr. Cleopa Mailu, and the Cuban Minister of Public Health, Dr. Roberto Morales Ojeda, signed today a memorandum of understanding on health cooperation between the two countries.
