Belize and Cuba celebrate three decades of medical cooperation

Belize and the Republic of Cuba this week marked 26 years of a historic medical cooperation agreement between our two countries.

To commemorate the anniversary, the Embassy of Cuba in Belize held a medical symposium at the Inspiration Center at mile 1.5 on the George Price Highway.

At the symposium, the embassy showcased the various sectors of the medical field, where the countries have collaborated over the years, as well as presentations from members of the Cuban medical corps, who work all over the country.

Cuban Ambassador to Nigeria Grants Exclusive Interview with "Vanguard"

NIGERIA, May 17, 2017. The Cuban Ambassador, Carlos Trejo Sosa, granted an exclusive interview to the newspaper "Vanguard".

The state of bilateral relations between Cuba and Nigeria; The interest of the state governments of the African country to re-establish bilateral cooperation, especially in the areas of health, agriculture and education; As well as the permanence of the effects of the American blockade against the Caribbean nation were some of the topics discussed during the meeting.

Russian Writer Awarded for Book on Raúl Castro

Cuban professor gave a Master Lecture at event on Hellenism, Greece

Athens, May 18. The Dra Elina Miranda Cancela, Professor of philology and classical tradition, from the Faculty of Arts and Letters of the University of Havana, gave a keynote speech that opened in Athens, the event entitled "One hundred years of dialogue, Latin American approaches to Hellenism", organized by The Gennadius Library of The American School of Classical Studies in Athens, Greece from 18 to 20 May.
