Cuban and Afghan leaders extend condolences to Azerbaijani president
Raúl Castro Ruz, President of Cuba's Councils of State and Ministers, has extended his condolences to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, APA reported. The letter reads as follows: “Dear Mr President, I’m deeply saddened by the news of the death of people as a consequence of a fire at the drug abuse rehabilitation center in Baku. I extend my heartfelt condolences to You and the families of the victims. Please accept my highest respect and esteem.”
President of Afghanistan Mohammad Ashraf Ghani Ahmadzai has also sent a letter of condolences to Azerbaijan’s head of state.
IMPORTANT TRAVEL AGENCY PROMOTES DESTINATION CUBA IN AZERBAIJAN
Speaking to executives of the PASHA Travel Agency and its tour operator PASHA Holidays, the Cuban ambassador in Azerbaijan, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, stressed that Cuba is waiting for a new registration in 2018 with five million tourists.
In the meetings held in Baku, the diplomat offered an overview of the development of tourism in Cuba, its growth prospects and the interest in increasing bilateral relations with the Azeri market.

Cuban Ambassador presents Credentials to the Georgian President
The new ambassador of Cuba to Georgia, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, presented his credentials in a solemn audience chaired by the president of this Caucasian nation, Giorgi Margvelashvili.
The ceremony of delivery of the credentials was held at the Presidential Palace in Tbilisi, capital of Georgia.
After the delivery of the credentials, the Georgian head of state shared a talk with 10 other concurrent ambassadors, who also presented Credentials.
Cuban Ambassador presents Style Copies of his Letters Credentials Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia
The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba, Alfredo Nieves Portuondo, delivered the Style Copies of the Credentials that accredit him as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to Georgia, to the first deputy minister of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of this Caucasian nation, Vakhtang Makharoblishvili.
At the meeting, held at the headquarters of the Georgian Ministry, both parties assessed the state of bilateral ties and agreed in the interest of continuing to develop them.
