New Cuban Ambassador Presents Credentials at United Nations
Havana, April 3, 2023.- Deputy Foreign Minister Gerardo Penalver Portal presented his credentials to the United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres as extraordinary and plenipotentiary ambassador, and permanent representative of Cuba at the New York-based world organization.
Upon receiving ambassador Penalver’s credentials, Guterres conveyed Greetings to President Miguel Diaz-Canel and Army General Raul Castro, according the Cuban Foreign Ministry’s website.
The Bahamas and Cuba agree to strengthen cooperation in health
Nassau, March 17th, 2023. The Minister of Health and Welfare of The Bahamas Dr. Michael Darville presented specific actions to expand the collaboration that the two countries are currently developing, in a friendly meeting with the Cuban ambassador to the Bahamas, Julio César González Marchante, at the headquarters of that Ministry.
In correspondence with new infrastructures and the expansion of public health services in the country, Cuban professionals will be selected to work in areas such as biomedical engineering, radiology, epidemiology, medical laboratories, and nursing.
