A gala to celebrate Cuban Culture Day

Nassau. October 20, 2023. A gala to celebrate Cuban Culture Day took place at the Cuban Embassy in The Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Cuban residents, solidarity friends, Bahamians and African graduates in Cuba, as well as members of the health and education collaboration attended the event.

Public denunciation by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba of the preparations of the Third CELAC-UE Summit

The Third CELAC-EU Summit of Heads of State and Government will be held in Brussels, Belgium, on July 17 and 18.

The leaders from both regions will meet again after an 8-year hiatus, in the midst of a very complex international context.

The truth is that, over and above statements and declarations, bi-regional relations have hardly advanced and during the most recent period they have even regressed.

The Summit can be an opportunity to start changing that situation.  But there are reasons for concern.

Meeting with immigration authorities from The Bahamas.

Nassau, June 26. The Minister of Labor and Immigration of The Bahamas, the Honorable Keith R. Bell received Cuban Ambassador Julio César González Marchante at the headquarters of that Ministry, with whom he held a working meeting to examine the migratory situation in the region and between the two countries.

In the cordial meeting, both parties reiterated the importance of ensuring the application of the approved mechanism to address illegal immigration and hold new migratory talks soon for the benefit of good bilateral relations.
