Nassau, January 27th, 2020. Cuban Ambassador Alejandro García del Toro visited the honorable senator Carl W. Bethel, Attorney General and Minister of Legal Affairs of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. At the meeting they agreed that the proximity and similar geographical characteristics stimulates collaboration on legal matters in a wide variety of sectors.
Cuban residents in The Bahamas celebrate the twelfth anniversary of their association.
Nassau, January 25th, 2020. At the residence of the ambassador, Cuban residents and their families, collaborators, African students graduated from Cuba and the Embassy’s staff in The Bahamas met to celebrate the 167th birth anniversary of the National Hero José Martí and the 12th anniversary of the creation of the Association of Cuban residents in The Bahamas “Ismaelillo”.
Former Prime Minister Perry Christie visits the Cuban Embassy in The Bahamas

Cuban Ambassador Alejandro García del Toro welcomed today, in the diplomatic mission of our country in Nassau, Mr. Perry Christie, former Prime Minister of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas. The prominent Bahamian politician, of the Progressive Liberal Party, held the position between 2002 and 2007, and subsequently in the period 2012 to 2017.
The National Hotel of Cuba was awarded with the distinction "Hotel Leader of Cuba"
