Cuba is not frightened by the measures tightening the blockade

Declaration of the Revolutionary Government

The Revolutionary Government of the Republic of Cuba condemns in the strongest terms the measures announced by the United States Government on 4 June 2019, further tightening the economic blockade imposed on Cuba for over 60 years, at a cost for the Cuban economy which amounted to over 134 billion dollars in 2018 at current prices, and to the figure of 933 billion dollars, taking into account the devaluation of the US dollar vis-à-vis the price of gold in the world market.

Bahamian organization presents the Cuban Embassy with a piece of historical research on Cuba

The Bahamas, 22 May 2019. In a cordial and dynamic meeting, representatives of Public Private Investments Ltd (PPIL), a Bahamian company focused on heritage education and community development presented the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba to The Bahamas with a valuable piece of historical research on Cuba which dates back to 1899. The text, entitled “Report on the Census of Cuba”, is over 700 pages including plentiful statistics and high quality illustrations.

Ambassador of Chile pays a courtesy call on Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas

Nassau, 16 April 2019. In a cordial meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in The Bahamas, the Ambassador-Designate of Chile, Excmo. Mr. Francisco J. Bernales paid a courtesy call on the Cuban Ambassador, Ismara Vargas Walter. They both exchanged about topics of common interest, in a pleasant atmosphere.
