From the headquarters of The Cuban Embassy in the Bahamian capital, ZNS informed the local audience about the arrival at the port of Nassau in recent days of Cuban vessel “Saturno” with new supplies of water and food. The important media stressed that Cuban medical and technical personnel are ready to join the recovery efforts.

Nassau, 11 September 2019. The first part of Cuba's humanitarian aid, for Bahamians affected by Hurricane Dorian arrived this afternoon in The Bahamas. Raciel Proenza, Deputy General Director for Economic Collaboration of the Ministry of Foreign Trade and Investment, officially handed over the donation. He was accompanied by Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter. Proenza announced that a second delivery of humanitarian aid would leave Cuba by ship shortly.
