Cuba and The Bahamas have “Healthy Bilateral Relationship”

Nassau, 18 February 2019. Cuban Ambassador to the Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter highlighted the achievement during her remarks to the Rotary Club of East Nassau a few days ago. Under the theme “The meaning of cooperation between two small nations: Cuba and The Bahamas”, the diplomat noted these two countries began cooperating with each other even prior to the start of formal diplomatic relations, which officially commenced on November 30, 1974.

Nassau, 14 february. In a cordial meeting at the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in The Bahamas, the Ambassador of the Russian Federation, Hon. Mr. Andrei A. Guskov paid a courtesy call on the Cuban Ambassador, Ismara Vargas Walter. They both exchanged about the history of their countries and the indissoluble links that unite them.

 

Recently Russian Ambassador Guskov, presented his credentials to the government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas, as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation in this Caribbean nation.

 

Cuba and The Bahamas confirm the excellent state of their bilateral relations

Nassau, 11 February 2019. In a cordial meeting at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas, the Foreign Minister of that Caribbean nation, Honorable Darren Allan Henfield and the Cuban Ambassador, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, reiterated the will of their countries to consolidating the level of cooperation reached.

 

During the meeting, both parties reviewed the different areas of the bilateral relations and verified their excellent state.

The Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas was saddened to learn of the recent tornado in the Republic of Cuba that occurred late Sunday, 27 January, 2019 and which affected low-lying municipalities in the capital city of Havana. We regret the loss of life, injuries and widespread structural damage that resulted from this natural disaster.
