Once again Cuba wins the Best in Show at the Bahamas International Cultural Festival

The Bahamas, 14 October 2018. The new Cuban victory at the International Cultural Festival was outright. The biggest island of the Antilles, retained the Best in Show Prize at the International Cultural Festival, as well as the First Place of the Caribbean area.

Under the theme "This is my Havana", the love legend surrounding the figure of "La Giraldilla", the oldest symbol of the city, was highlighted. Other attractions of the capital of all Cubans such the visual arts, the handicrafts and the local cuisine had also leading roles. 

Cuba and The Bahamas for a greater exchange in the tourism sector

During the opening ceremony of the State of Tourism Industry Conference SOTIC 2018, the Minister of Tourism and Aviation of The Bahamas, the Honorable Dionisio D'Aguilar, exchanged with the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter. Both parties ratified the interest in developing tourism multi-destination programs, taking into account the attractions offered by the two nations.

Cuba and The Bahamas reaffirm their willingness to strengthen existing links

Nassau, 17 September 2018.- In a cordial meeting at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of The Bahamas, the Foreign Minister of that Caribbean nation, Honorable Darren Allan Henfield and the Cuban Ambassador, Ismara Vargas Walter, reiterated the will of their countries to consolidate cooperation ties in education, health, agriculture and national security matters. While reviewing the topics of the common agenda, both parties agreed on the excellent state of bilateral relations.

Harmful effects of the blockade against Cuba are denounced in The Bahamas

Nassau, 17 September 2018.- Just a few weeks before the vote on the Cuban resolution against the blockade in the UN General Assembly, the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, exchanged with the Bahamian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Honorable Darren Allan Henfield, on the effects of the economic, commercial and financial blockade imposed by the United States against Cuba.
