Governor-General of The Bahamas highlights artistic quality of Cuban musicians.

The Bahamas, 18 November 2018. On the occasion of the 2018 “Women of Distinction” presentation at the Bahamas Government House, the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara M. Vargas Walter, exchanged with The Most Honourable Dame Marguerite Pindling, Governor-General of the aforesaid Caribbean nation. The event featured Trio de Ciudad, a Cuban three-piece ensemble consistent of two young violinists and a pianist who delighted the attendees with an exquisite classical music selection.  

59th Anniversary of the physical disappearance of Camilo Cienfuegos is remembered in The Bahamas.

The Bahamas, 28 October 2018. On the occasion of the 59th Anniversary of the physical disappearance of the Vanguard Lord, our beloved and unforgettable Commander Camilo Cienfuegos; members of the State mission of Cuba in The Bahamas, paid tribute to the Man of the thousand battles.

In this context the children of the mission remembered this date paying attention to an educational talk. Reference was made to the patriotic value of the legacy left by the Hero of Yaguajay.

Cuba and The Bahamas strengthen their ties in the partisan sphere.

The Bahamas, 21 October 2018. At the invitation of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (CCPCC), a delegation of the Progressive Liberal Party (PLP), the main opposition party in The Bahamas visited Cuba from October 17 to 20. On this occasion, the Bahamian delegation was led by Philip Brave Davis, leader of the PLP and former Deputy Prime Minister of the Caribbean nation.

Bahamian press highlights events for the Cuban culture week.

Nassau, 21 October 2018. With the collaboration of the Ministry of Culture of The Bahamas, the University of The Bahamas and the Embassy of Cuba in this Caribbean nation, the Cuban culture week was held in Nassau. The participation in these events of the National Director of Culture of The Bahamas, Rowena Poitier, as well as other prestigious representatives of the Bahamian culture was an outstanding element of these events.

Once again Cuba wins the Best in Show at the Bahamas International Cultural Festival

The Bahamas, 14 October 2018. The new Cuban victory at the International Cultural Festival was outright. The biggest island of the Antilles, retained the Best in Show Prize at the International Cultural Festival, as well as the First Place of the Caribbean area.

Under the theme "This is my Havana", the love legend surrounding the figure of "La Giraldilla", the oldest symbol of the city, was highlighted. Other attractions of the capital of all Cubans such the visual arts, the handicrafts and the local cuisine had also leading roles.
