NOTICE ABOUT THE CONSULATE OFFICE HOURS IN JULY AND AUGUST
The Embassy of Cuba in The Bahamas informs that during the months of July and August the Consulate will be open to the public from 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 m. (noon). The only services to be provided are passport extension, passport renewal and visa issuance.
The regular Consulate office hours and the rest of the services will be restored by Monday, 3 September 2018.
New opportunities for trade with Cuba are highlighted in The Bahamas
Nassau, 31 May 2018.- With the participation of the Minister of Financial Services, Trade, Industry and Immigration, Honorable Brent Symonette, The Bahamas Chamber of Commerce Trade Seminar and Expo Fair was inaugurated in Nassau, the Bahamian capital under the title "Enhancing Trade Opportunities". The Minister referred to the interest aroused by Cuba, especially when it comes to the commercialization of agricultural products.

I spoke a few minutes ago to the Cuban Ambassador to The Bahamas Her Excellency Ismara Mercedes Vargas Walter to express the Party’s fraternal concern and condolences following reports of the crash of a Cuban commercial aircraft shortly after takeoff earlier today in Havana.
Ambassador of Cuba exchanges with CARICOM Secretary- General
NASSAU, May 7th, 2018. - The Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, held a cordial exchange with the Secretary-General of the Caribbean Community, Ambassador Irwin LaRocque, during the XXI Meeting of the Council for Foreign and Community Relations (COFCOR) of the Caribbean Community (CARICOM).
At the meeting, the Secretary- General referred to the driving role of Cuba with CARICOM regarding the strengthening of the relations in the region.
