University of the Bahamas highlights the presence of Cuban culture at the Foreign Languages Day
NASSAU, March 16th, 2018.- Different manifestations of Cuban culture were present at the 14th Edition of the Foreign Languages Day, an event that takes place every year at the University of The Bahamas.
Organized by the Faculties of Communication and Creative Arts, the meeting counted with the representation of cultural expressions from different countries, which were of the attraction of students, professors and other guests.
Significant presence of Cuban films at the 8th edition of the Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase in The Bahamas
NASSAU, February 22th, 2018. - The 8th edition of the Traveling Caribbean Film Showcase, which took place in Nassau between February 19 and 21, recently concluded in The Bahamas.
On this occasion, the University of The Bahamas hosted the event of the seventh art, with the exhibition of cinematographic materials from Haiti, Belize, Suriname, Trinidad and Tobago, Puerto Rico, Dominican Republic, Martinique, Guadeloupe and Cuba. The largest island of the Antilles delighted the attendees with 6 cinematographic productions of high variety and quality.
Cuba and The Bahamas explore modalities to increase the academic and student exchange
NASSAU, February 21, 2018.- This morning, the Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, held an exchange with Dr. Pandora Johnson, Vice President of International Relations at the University of The Bahamas and Jacob Dyer Spiegel, Director of Global Programs and Internationalization at that institution.
