Nassau, November 20th, 2017.-The Ambassador of Cuba to the Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, recently made a working visit to the island of Grand Bahama, ranked second in the Bahamian territory, where she exchanged with local authorities.

During her visit, the diplomat made a courtesy call to the Minister of State in the Office of the Prime Minister for Grand Bahama, Hon. Kwasi Thompson. They exchanged on various topics of interest, in particular on the existing cooperation between both countries.

NASSAU, November 20th, 2017. -The Embassy of Cuba in The Bahamas recently held a cultural and political function at the Ambassador's residence to celebrate Cuba's new victory in the United Nations General Assembly against the blockade imposed by the US. Also, the 43 Anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between Cuba and The Bahamas was celebrated.

NASSAU, November 18th, 2017.-The Ambassador of Cuba to The Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, recently held a meeting with the Minister of Tourism and Aviation of The Bahamas, Honorable Dionisio James D'Aguilar.

In the exchange, both parties reviewed issues of common interest. They also discussed about the good level of the relations between Cuba and The Bahamas.

NASSAU, November 15th, 2017. -The Ambassador of Cuba to the Bahamas, Ismara Vargas Walter, attended as a special guest a radio interview of the talk show “Connected”of the Bahamian station Guardian Radio.

During the interview, the Cuban diplomat addressed various topics of interest, in particular, the opportunities for foreign investment in Cuba, the growth of the Cuban economy despite the blockade imposed by the US, the existing collaboration between Cuba and The Bahamas, as well as other elements of particular interest to the Caribbean region.
