Trade delegation from Jamaica to participated at FIVAH 2016

KINGSTON, JAMAICA, October 11, 2016. Ambassador of Cuba to Jamaica, Bernardo Guanche Hernandez, met with members of this country’s trade delegation to the upcoming International Fair of Havana 2016 FIHAV 2016.

The fruitful meeting, held at the venue of the Jamaica Promotions Corporation (JAMPRO), was also presided over by Berletta Forrester, General Manager of Commercial Development at this important institution from the Ministry of Economic Growth and Job Creation.

The Kuwait Times newspaper in today's edition reproduces entirely e exclusive interview to the website CubaVSBloqueo offered by the General Director for the United States at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Foreign Ministry) of the Republic of Cuba, Josefina Vidal, which addressed key elements of the permanence of the US Blockade  and other aspects that affect the process of normalization of relations between Cuba and the United States.

Delegations presided over respectively by Josefina Vidal Ferreiro, Director General of the US Division at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs; and Mari Carmen Aponte, Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs, and Jonathan Finer, Chief of Staff and Director of Policy Planning for the Secretary of State, met on September 30 in Washington on the occasion of the fourth meeting of the Cuba-US Bilateral Commission.

As long as the blockade persists, Cuba will maintain the strong claim to end it

With the support of Iranian friends from solidarity organizations, particularly the House of Latin America (HOLA), the Embassy of Cuba in Tehran held a press conference with media to denounce once again the US blockade imposed on the Island for more than five decades, and to announce the presentation of a draft resolution at the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) by the twenty-fifth consecutive time to demand an end to this unfair policy.
