Outgoing Ambassador of Cuba Awarded with Royal Order of Sahametrei, Grand Officer

Cambodia’s Royal Order of Sahametrei, Grand Officer has been conferred upon Liurka Rodríguez, outgoing Ambassador of the Republic Cuba. SOK Chenda Sophea, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperaiton bestowed the prestigious Royal Order of Sahametrei, Grand Officer to the outgoing Cuban ambassador, as a token of appreciation for and in recognition of her outstanding contributions to the strengthening of the bilateral relations between the Kingdom of Cambodia and the Republic of Cuba during her tenure. 

Cambodia and Cuba Appreciate Women’s Role in Nation Building

National Assembly President Khuon Sodary and outgoing Cuban Ambassador, Liurka Rodriguez Barrios, praised the sacrifices and courage of Cambodian and Cuban women who have sacrificed and worked toward peace and development. On January 10, the Cuban Ambassador to Cambodia paid a courtesy call to the National Assembly President ahead of her departure. Khuon Sodary praised the results of the ambassador's diplomatic mission in strengthening the long-standing good relations and cooperation between Cambodia and Cuba.

More cooperation on inspection discussed by Cambodia and Cuba

Cambodia and Cuba have discussed more cooperation on inspection between the two countries. The discussion took place between Huot Hak, Minister of Inspection, and Mrs. Liurka Rodriguez Barrios, Ambassador of Cuba to Cambodia, here in Phnom Penh, on Dec. 5. Hak briefed Mrs. Rodriguez Barrios on the long-lasting diplomatic relations and good cooperation between the two countries in all sectors, adding that the two nations supported each other on the international arena.

Cuba and Cambodia for greater cooperation in the information sector

Cuba and Cambodia called today for strengthening collaboration in the information sector in a context of dizzying evolution of social networks and supremacy of large transnational information companies. That purpose was expressed in a meeting between the Minister of Information, NethPheaktra, and the ambassador of the island here, Liurka Rodriguez, who thanked the frequent and objective media coverage on the reality of the Caribbean country.
