A tree, a new symbol of friendship between Cuba and Cambodia
In the province of Kampong Chhnang grows a tree that symbolizes the valuable friendship between Cuba and Cambodia. This was stated by the island's diplomatic representative, Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, when planting it on the day the kingdom calls for mass planting, to raise awareness in society about the importance of trees and caring for the environment. The ceremony was attended by Her Majesty Norodom Sihamoni and Prime Minister Hun Sen, among other leaders, personalities, and ambassadors.
Cambodia supports Cuba’s presidency in G-77 + China
The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, Chum Sounry, reiterated the Kingdom’s support for the Cuban presidency of the Group of 77 + China. Sounry ratified Cambodia’s position at a reception to the Cuban ambassador, Liurka Rodríguez, to whom he assured the full support and full cooperation with Cuba as head of the bloc.
Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs received Cuban Ambassador
His Excellency CHUM Sounry, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, received Her Excellency Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Cuba to the Kingdom of Cambodia. Secretary of State CHUM Sounry congratulated Cuba on assuming the Chairmanship of the G77 plus China and assured the Ambassador of Cambodia’s total support and full cooperation.
Cuban FMC members meet with Cambodian Minister of Women’s Affairs
The delegation of the Federation of Cuban Women(FMC), led by its Secretary General Teresa Amarelle, visits the Kingdom of Cambodia and will meet with Minister of Women's Affairs Kantha Phavi on Wednesday. The meeting will be the main item on the agenda of the FMC delegation, which will conclude its stay here, on Thursday, after paying a courtesy visit to Queen Mother Norodom Monineath Sihanouk.
Cuban FMC delegation seeks to strengthen ties with Cambodia
A Cuban Women's Federation (FMC) delegation, led by its General Secretary, Teresa Amarelle, visits the Kingdom of Cambodia on Monday to deepen the historical ties between the two countries. Amarelle, who is also a member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Cuba (PCC) and the Council of State, and her accompanying delegation will focus on exchanging experiences on public policies in favor of gender equality and learning about the country’s culture and traditions.
