DPM Hang Chuon Naron Attends G-77 + China Summit in Cuba

Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports of the Kingdom of Cambodia, H.E. Dr. Hang Chuon Naron, leads a delegation to the G-77 + China Summit in Havana, Cuba, on Sept. 15-16. President of Cuba H.E. Miguel Díaz-Canel greeted dozens of heads of State and Government, and members of High-Level delegations, at the Conference Centre in this capital, the venue of the ongoing G77+China Summit where he also delivered the opening speech, said a news release from the Embassy of Cuba in Phnom Penh.

Cambodia, Cuba Discuss Possibility to Promote Their Relationship

Cambodia and Cuba have spoken with satisfaction the remarkable development in the relationship and cooperation in both the bilateral and multilateral frameworks and discussed the possibility for its further enhancement. The discussion took place here this morning between H E. CHUM Sounry, Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia and H.E. Ms.  Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, Ambassador of Cuba to Cambodia.

Cambodian PM invited to summit of heads of state and government of group of 77+China in Cuba next month

President of Cuba Miguel Diaz-Canel Bermudez has invited Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, to participate in the Summit of Heads of State and Government of the Group of 77+China in Havana, Cuba in mid-September. The invitation was extended to Kitti Tesaphibal Pundit in a congratulatory letter on his appointment as Prime Minister of Cambodia.

A tree, a new symbol of friendship between Cuba and Cambodia

In the province of Kampong Chhnang grows a tree that symbolizes the valuable friendship between Cuba and Cambodia. This was stated by the island's diplomatic representative, Liurka Rodríguez Barrios, when planting it on the day the kingdom calls for mass planting, to raise awareness in society about the importance of trees and caring for the environment. The ceremony was attended by Her Majesty Norodom Sihamoni and Prime Minister Hun Sen, among other leaders, personalities, and ambassadors.

Cambodia supports Cuba’s presidency in G-77 + China

The Secretary of State of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Cambodia, Chum Sounry, reiterated the Kingdom’s support for the Cuban presidency of the Group of 77 + China. Sounry ratified Cambodia’s position at a reception to the Cuban ambassador, Liurka Rodríguez, to whom he assured the full support and full cooperation with Cuba as head of the bloc.
