Cambodia’s PM Hun Sen predicts further strengthening of ties with Cuba
Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Sen said here on Friday that the usual relations of friendship and collaboration with Cuba could advance and strengthen even more in the coming years. Hun Sen’s statements were contained in a message to Cuban Prime Minister Manuel Marrero, in which he stressed that “the trust placed in you for the second term by Cuban citizens will undoubtedly be a source of further inspiration for you to continue the historic march in the promotion of your country’s future welfare, resilience and prosperity.”
Cambodia and Cuba willing to cooperate in agricultural sector
Cambodia and Cuba expressed their willingness to strengthen ties between the two countries and extend cooperation to the agricultural sector during a meeting between senior leaders of the sphere. This willingness was expressed in a meeting between the Minister of Agriculture, Forest Resources and Fisheries of Cambodia, Dith Tina, and the Vice Minister of Agriculture of Cuba, Maury Hechavarría. During their talks, Tina thanked Cuba for its historic contribution to the development of Cambodia in difficult times.
Relationship between Cuba and Cambodia is Excellent, Says Cuban President
President of the Republic of Cuba H.E. Miguel Díaz-Canel has praised the excellent relationship between Cuba and Cambodia. Just on the 63rd anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the two countries (April 15), the Cuban President received the Letters of Credence from newly appointed Ambassador of Cambodia in Havana H.E. Chea Thireak, according to a news release of the Cuban Embassy in Phnom Penh.
Respect and admiration, distinctive hallmarks of Cuba-Cambodia ties
Respect, admiration and identification of common goals of progress, despite geographical distance, are hallmarks of relations between Cuba and Cambodia, Ambassador Liurka Rodriguez said here on Wednesday. At a meeting with members of the Association of Cambodian Graduates in Cuba (ACGC), diplomats, sports collaborators and Cuban residents in the Kingdom, Rodriguez stressed that these ties, established more than six decades ago, also have “a key historic component.”
Cambodian businesswomen will explore opportunities with Cuba
The ambassador of Cuba, Liurka Rodríguez Barrios participated in the first Exhibition of Business Women of Cambodia. The event was chaired by the Secretary of State for Trade and Industry, Cham Nimul, who expressed that the distance that separates both countries does not prevent a rapprochement. The directive also recalled the active bilateral agenda between Havana and the kingdom in 2022 and the potential to expand cooperation in various areas.
