Cuba participates in the Toronto Global Forum
The Toronto Global Forum, an international conference that fosters dialogue on national and global issues under the auspices of the International Economic Forum of the Americas (IEFA), was held for three days in the city of Toronto.
The Forum offers exclusive opportunities for business meetings aimed at promoting partnerships between major Canadian and international corporations, especially in Latin America and the Caribbean.
Cuba participates in the Assembly of the International Alliance of Women in Montreal.
In the city of Montreal took place the Assembly of the International Alliance of Women, an organization created in 2010 with the aim of joining efforts to fight for women's rights, through the creation of alliances and anti-imperialist networks worldwide.
With the slogan “Many Struggles, One Battle”, representative figures of the international struggles for the vindication of the role of women gathered at the event.
Cuba present at the Latin American Art Salon in Canada
Cuba was present at the XII edition of the Latin American Art Salon 2022, "RAÍCES LATINOAMERICANAS Y CARIBE", where several Latin American artists exhibited their talent on Friday, October 14.
On the Cuban side, artists Michael Johson and Yoel Finalet exhibited the traditions and authenticity of our nation in the gallery of the Ottawa City Hall.

The second edition of the collective visual art exhibition "Sendas Abiertas" (Open Paths) was inaugurated at the Moroccan Cultural Center in the city of Montreal, with presentations by artists from Cuba and other countries such as Argentina, Guatemala, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama, Honduras, El Salvador, Peru, Iraq, Morocco, Serbia and Switzerland.
Cuban culture was represented by artists Yoel Finalet and Michel Johnson, who enriched the exhibitions with the identity values of their works.
Cuban feature film "Cuentos de un día más" presented in Toronto
Along with a varied proposal of different Latin American filmmakers, Cuba had its space at the Toronto Latin American Film Festival with the feature film "Cuentos de un Día Más", by renowned director Fernando Pérez.
After 8 years of the Festival and under the spot of the tourist campaign Cuba Única, the Consul General, Jorge Yanier Castellanos Orta, highlighted the importance of these scenarios for the preservation of Latin American culture and paid a well-deserved tribute to Ché on the 55th anniversary of his assassination, as one of the greatest sons of our America.
