Secretary General of the regional organization “Mano River Union” meets with the Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia.

Monrovia, January 2, 2021.- The Head of Mission of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia, Mercedes L. Martínez Herrera, held a working meeting with Ambassador Medina A. Wesseh Esq, Secretary General of the regional organization Mano River Union, who visited the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia.

During the fruitful meeting, the Cuban diplomat related Cuba's experience in the development of collaboration with African countries in different areas, which has extended to almost all the countries of the continent.

Cuban Ambassador visits flora and fauna sanctuary in Wellington.

Wellington, December 12. At the invitation of the Mayor of Wellington, Andy Foster, the Cuban Ambassador Edgardo Valdés, participated in a tour of Zealandia, a beautiful sanctuary of flora and fauna in the middle of the city. Paul Atkins, CEO of the project, welcomed the members of the Diplomatic Corps and their families. We enjoyed lunch and a tour of the site in the company of members of the City Council. A very pleasant and enriching experience. Exchange possibilities are opened in this area.

Cuban Ambassador attends meeting with His Majesty the Maori King.

Hamilton, November 20. Cuban Ambassador Edgardo Valdés attended an official banquet offered by His Majesty Kiingi Tuheitia Pootatau Te Wherowhero VII to the Diplomatic Corps. On the occasion, His Majesty conveyed a message of friendship and his wish for good relations with all the countries represented there.

In addition to meeting His Majesty, the Ambassador had meetings with the King's eldest son, Ariki Tamaroa Whatumoana Teaa, Chief of Staff Ngira Simmonds, and other distinguished representatives of the Maori people.

Cuban Foreign Minister congratulates his New Zealand counterpart.

Wellington, November 5. Cuban FM Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla extended its cordial congratulations to the FM of New Zealand, H.E Nanaia Mahuta for her appointment, and expressed its willingness to "continue expanding the ties of friendship and cooperation between our countries."

Cuba and New Zealand share broad coincidences on many issues on the international agenda and the New Zealand government supports General Assembly resolution 74/7 against the blockade. 

Ambassador of Cuba visits Napier.

 

Napier, October 17. The Cuban Ambassador, Edgardo Valdés López, visited the city of Napier, where he met with the mayor, H.W Kristen Wise.

In a friendly conversation, they exchanged about Cuba and Napier and evaluated possible forms of cooperation, particularly in the cultural sphere and the promotion of tourism.

Cuban Ambassador participates in a round table on business opportunities.

Wellington, October 7. Cuban Ambassador, Edgardo Valdés López, participated in a round table organized by the Latin American chapter of the Asia-Pacific Council for Excellence (Latam / CAPE) at the School of Government and Business of the University of Victoria.

The event was attended by Ambassadors or seconds from the GRULAC countries accredited in New Zealand, to promote business and investment opportunities in their respective countries.
