On May 28, the Government of the United States finally announced a group of measures aimed at implementing the policy announced on May 16, 2022. The purpose of this step, according to the text published by the Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC), is to support the private sector in Cuba.

Cuba thanked the U.S. group Hatuey for the donation of cytostatics for children with cancer, needles for bone marrow extraction, catheters and other means, at a press conference held today by organizers of that solidarity group at the headquarters of the Cuban Institute of Friendship with the Peoples (ICAP).
Kuala Lumpur.- On the occasion of the 129th anniversary of the fall in action of the National Hero of Cuba, José Martí, the Annual General Meeting of the Friends of Cuba Association in Malaysia (FOCA) took place this May 19.
The assembly was conducive to recounting the 15 years of the association, focused on solidarity with Cuba and the bond with the Caribbean Island through culture and mutual respect.
During the meeting, which took place at the Residence of the Cuban Ambassador in Kuala Lumpur, several new members joined the society and its executive committee.
Monrovia, May 18, 2024 - Members of the Liberia-Cuba Solidarity Group once again demanded that the United States remove Cuba from the spurious list of alleged state sponsors of terrorism where it should never have been.
They pointed out that this inclusion has only brought devastating consequences for a people who have been victims of state terrorism and that this is one more way to maintain a criminal punishment against the Cuban people.

Despite not mentioning Cuba in his latest report on terrorism, the State Department keeps Cuba as one of the States in a list of those allegedly “sponsoring” terrorism. It is nothing but a totally unilateral and unfounded list, whose sole purpose is to smear sovereign States and serve as a pretext for imposing coercive economic sanctions on them, as those ruthlessly imposed on Cuba.

A score of U.S.-based Protestant church bodies urged President Joe Biden to make substantial changes in bilateral relations with Cuba, including its removal from the State Department's List of State Sponsors of Terrorism (LEPT).
In a letter dated May 9, 12 organizations representing different religious denominations and 8 faith-based institutions point out that the current U.S. policy of strangling Cuban society with an economic blockade to force it to overthrow its government is morally unacceptable and contrary to their faith; as well as to basic human rights principles.
