The most recent examples have been the reprehensible attacks, with impunity, on the Buena Fe duo in certain settings in Spain and the shameful revocation of the distinguished writer Nancy Morejón’s appointment as Honorary Chair of the Paris Poetry Market in France.

Liberian Vice President receives Cuban Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Monrovia, March 21, 2023- The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba, Elio Rodriguez Perdomo, was received by the Vice President of the Republic of Liberia, Jewel C. Howard-Taylor, during the official visit of the Cuban high official to the African nation.

Both sides discussed foreign policy issues of common interest and recognized the importance of this meeting in the year that Cuba and Liberia celebrate the 49th anniversary of the establishment of bilateral diplomatic relations.

Monrovia, November 11, 2022 - Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes Martinez Herrera received at the headquarters of the Cuban Embassy in Liberia students of the Fratelli Tutti Political School of the Vatican who are visiting Liberia.

Their interest in learning first-hand about Cuba motivated their visit to the headquarters where they had a fraternal exchange with diplomat Martinez Herrera.

During the meeting they expressed their admiration for Cuba, its achievements, its culture and its people.

Cuban Culture Day Celebrated in Liberia.

Monrovia, October 20, 2022 - Cubans and Liberians celebrated today in Monrovia the National Culture Day as a tribute to the date when the notes of the Bayamo Anthem were sung for the first time.

With the national ensign displayed in “A'La Lagune” one of the best known centers in Monrovia, members of the Liberia-Cuba friendship group and friends of Cuba joined members of the Cuban Embassy to celebrate this significant date.

Diplomatic Mission of Cuba in Liberia holds Referendum on the new Code of Cuban Families.

Monrovia, September 18, 2022 - In the morning hours of today, the members of the Diplomatic Mission of Cuba in Liberia exercised their right to vote in the referendum of the new Code of the Families that took place, with all rigor and in compliance with the Electoral Law.

On this day, 123 electoral constituencies established for this purpose held the process in the foreign service.

Monrovia, July 11, 2022 - In the afternoon, at our headquarters in Monrovia, a political-cultural activity took place on the occasion of the celebration of the first anniversary of the victory of the Cuban people against the most recent attempt of the enemies of the Cuban Revolution.

This activity also marked the beginning of the day of celebration of July 26th.

Today, the government of the United States announced several measures, which are positive but of a very limited scope, regarding Cuba associated to the granting of visas, regular migration, flights to Cuban provinces, remittances and adjustments to the regulations governing transactions with the non-state sector.
