Cuba Celebrates Anniversary of International Medical Collaboration in Zimbabwe

Harare, May 24, 2025 – The Cuban Medical Brigade in Zimbabwe received recognition today from the State Mission on the occasion of the 62nd anniversary of the beginning of the Caribbean country's international collaboration in health.

Specialized contingents have been present in this African nation since 1987, with 937 brigade members from 2000 to the current 14th, recognized by the national authorities of Cuba and Zimbabwe for its high scientific level.

Cuba and St. Kitts and Nevis highlight brotherhood and mutual support

Cuba and St. Kitts and Nevis today ratified their brotherhood and interest in strengthening ties in various areas, during the official reception offered by President Miguel Díaz-Canel to his counterpart from Saint Christopher and Nevis, Hon. Dr. Terrance Drew.

Both dignitaries praised the excellent bilateral relations that have reached their 30th anniversary since the formalization of diplomatic ties on May 10, 1995.

Harare, May 21, 2025 - Cuba and China today demonstrated the strength of their bilateral relations during a meeting between their ambassadors to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa and His Excellency Mr. Zhou Ding.

The historic political ties of friendship and collaboration, as well as the desire to consolidate them, were the focus of the exchange held at the headquarters of the Asian nation's diplomatic mission in this capital.

Ambassadors of Cuba and the SADR in Zimbabwe Praise Historic Bilateral Relations

Harare, May 20, 2025 – The Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa, reiterated today the Caribbean island's support for the legitimate and historic cause of the Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic (SADR), during a meeting with her counterpart, His Excellency Mr. Louali Moussa Zaoui.

The ambassadors praised the relations of friendship, brotherhood, and cooperation between the two countries, as well as their mutual desire to consolidate their historic bilateral ties.

Zimbabwe ZANU-PF Party Secretary Receives Cuban Ambassador

Harare, May 16, 2025 – The Secretary for International Relations of the Zimbabwe African National Union Party - Patriotic Front (ZANU-PF), Simbarashe Mumbengegwi, received the Cuban Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Ms. Susellys Pérez Mesa. The ZANU-PF leader highlighted Cuba's resilience and determination to never surrender. He also considered it incredible that the peaceful people of the Caribbean country would be included on the United States' list of alleged sponsors of terrorism and, now, of those who do not support the fight against this scourge.

Cuban Minister of Education to participate in the World Education Forum 2025

Cuba's Minister of Education, Dr. Naima Ariatne Trujillo Barreto, will participate in the Education World Forum 2025, to be held in London from 18-21 May. The Minister will be accompanied by a delegation from the Ministry of Education (MINED), including Marian Chorens Cruz, Director of International Relations, and Mayda Ramos Alemán, National Methodologist for English Language Teaching.
