With the energy of Moncada, to leave scarcities behind and head for well-being

Cuban revolutionaries today invoke the perseverance of those young men who in July 1953, led by the lawyer Fidel Castro, assaulted two of the main military fortresses, to unleash the struggle against the dictatorship of Fulgencio Batista. The actions did not culminate in military success, but after the bloody repression, the young people of the generation of the centenary of the birth of José Martí regrouped forces and outlined objectives.

National Rebellion Day celebrated in St. Kitts and Nevis

Expressions of affection for Cuba prevailed in this day of historical remembrance in which tribute was paid to the Centennial Generation, which began a stage of struggle that did not culminate until the final victory on January 1, 1959. The denunciation of the United States blockade against our country was once again heard in friendly times, as well as expressions of solidarity with the Cuban people.
