Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning of Liberia visits Cuban Embassy.

Monrovia, December 18, 2024 - With the purpose of holding a meeting with the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, the Deputy Minister of Finance and Planning of the Republic of Liberia, Hon. Sarah Mulbah, visited the headquarters of our Embassy in Monrovia.

Topics of interest for both nations were discussed during the cordial meeting.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs visits Cuban Embassy in Liberia

Monrovia, December 6, 2024 - This afternoon, we received the visit to our diplomatic headquarters of the Deputy Minister for Administrative Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Liberia, Honorable Gabriel H. Salee, who was received by the Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

Both diplomats held a cordial meeting where they discussed issues of interest to both countries and where mutual respect prevailed.

Monrovia, November 15, 2024-, In a fraternal atmosphere, Liberia's First Deputy Foreign Minister Deweh E. Gray held a fruitful meeting with Cuban Chief of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera.

During the exchange, bilateral and multilateral issues of interest to both countries were discussed.

The occasion was propitious for the Cuban diplomat to reiterate her gratitude to the Liberian government for its support to the Cuban cause against the U.S. blockade.

Monrovia, November 8, 2024 - Liberian Assistant Minister for American Affairs Christiana Wahblo Konneh and Cuban Head of Mission in Liberia Mercedes Martinez Herrera held a working meeting at the Foreign Ministry of this West African country to review issues of mutual interest in order to effectively advance in their fulfillment.

During the meeting they reviewed issues on the bilateral agenda, aimed at strengthening the ties of friendship and cooperation between the two nations.

Martínez Herrera conveyed appreciation to Ambassador Marjon Kamara, Chair of the African Women Leaders Network (AWLN), for inviting her to the sixth Intergenerational Leadership Summit of this continental platform created to advance women's leadership on the African continent.

Liberian Assistant Minister for American Affairs receives Cuban Head of Mission.

Monrovia, October 17, 2024 - The Head of Mission of the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia, Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera, was received at the Liberian Foreign Ministry by the Assistant Minister for American Affairs, Hon. Christiana Wahblo Konneh.

The occasion was propitious to review important issues of the bilateral and multilateral agenda, aimed at strengthening ties between the two nations.

Monrovia, October 15, 2024 - In the afternoon, the Head of Mission Mercedes Martinez Herrera was received at the headquarters of the Liberian Foreign Ministry by the Deputy Minister for Multilateral Affairs Dr. Ibrahim Nyei, who serves as acting Foreign Minister.

During the meeting, they exchanged on various issues of mutual interest and highlighted the cooperation that both chancelleries maintain in the multilateral sphere.

Cuban Head of Mission and Liberian Minister of Gender have a cordial meeting.

Monrovia, September 19, 2024 - In a cordial atmosphere, the Cuban Head of Mission Mercedes L. Martinez Herrera held a cordial meeting with Mrs. Gbeme Horace-Kollie, new Minister of Gender, Children and Social Protection of the Republic of Liberia.

During the exchange, Honorable Kollie and diplomat Martinez Herrera discussed various issues, including the need to promote gender equality and protect the rights of children and vulnerable groups in Liberia.

 

Liberian medical graduates in Cuba thank our country for their training and preparation.

Monrovia, September 12, 2024 - Doctors Edvida Davis Nyuma and Francis Maweah Jr. paid a visit to the Cuban Embassy in Monrovia after returning to Liberia after completing their medical studies in our country.

Both graduates of the specialty of Medicine completed their studies in the Greater of the Antilles and are ready to offer their services to the Liberian people.
