Cork, Ireland, April 20, 2023. Deputy President & Registrar's Office at University College Cork, Professor Stephen Byrne and the Head of the Department of Spanish, Portuguese and Latin American Studies of the University itself, Professor Nuala Finnegan, received the Cuban Ambassador to Ireland, Bernardo Guanche Hernandez.
Cork, Ireland, April 20, 2023. Cubans residing in the county of Cork, Ireland, met with the Cuban ambassador in this country, Bernardo Guanche Hernández, who travelled accompanied by the Counsellor for Consular Affairs, Mabel Rodríguez Morera. The meeting is part of the two-day visit program to this important Irish city.
During a pleasant meeting, the Cuban ambassador referred to the importance of strengthening, once the pandemic is over, the embassy's ties with Cubans residing in Ireland, in this case, with those from Cork.

During a pleasant meeting, Mr. Healy presented a video that shows the development achieved by County Cork from the point of view of mercantile production, as well as the decisive role that the port located in Cork plays in Irish imports and exports.

During the cordial meeting, both exchanged about the prospects for cooperation between Ireland and Cuba in these two strategic fields of development of both countries.

United Nations, November 3 (RHC)-- Cuba celebrates Thursday a new victory in its struggle against the U.S. blockade, by achieving overwhelming support in the United Nations General Assembly (UNGA) for a resolution approved by 185 votes in favor, two against and two abstentions.
The two countries voting against the resolution were the United States and Israel. The two absentions were Ukraine and Brazil.
