Cuba reiterates gratitude to Lithuania for its support against US blockade

Ambassador Beatriz Parra González, held a virtual exchange with the Director of Global Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania, HE. Mr. Vytautas Pinkus, to review topics on the bilateral agenda and the international arena. The Cuban diplomat offered detailed information on the state of the country after the onslaught of two hurricanes and an equal number of earthquakes, as well as the national energy crisis it faces due to the intensification of the United States blockade policy. In this regard, Parra emphasized Cuba's gratitude to the Lithuanian people and government for their support of the UN Resolution demanding an end to this unjust policy, which seeks to subdue the Cuban people in the midst of a generalized crisis.

The Caribbean diplomat thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Elina Valtonen, for Finland's support against the blockade and the President of the Finland-Cuba Parliamentary Group, Jouni Ovaska, for the solidarity shown to the parliamentary motion that demands the exclusion of our country from the List of State Sponsors of Terrorism.
