Cuba congratulates Latvia on its Independence Day
Cuba congratulated the Republic of Latvia on the occasion of its National Holiday celebrated this November 18, in messages from President Miguel Díaz-Canel and Minister Bruno Rodríguez to their Latvian counterparts, while the Cuban Foreign Ministry shared a message of greetings to the national date. "Cuba congratulates Latvia on the occasion of its National Holiday. We ratify our willingness to continue strengthening the ties between both nations" the text added. Latvia’s National Holiday celebrates the Proclamation of Independence by the National People’s Council on November 18, 1918.
Cuba condemns and warns of indiscriminate Israeli attacks against Damascus and Beirut, even nearby its diplomatic missions in both countries
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cuba condemns, in the strongest possible terms, the continued air strikes perpetrated by Israeli government forces against residential areas in Beirut and Damascus, in flagrant violation of International Law, even International Humanitarian Law. Cuba condemns, in particular, the air strike launched on November 14 by Israeli forces occupying the Syrian Golan against the residential neighborhood of Mezzeh, in Damascus, where diplomatic missions and United Nations offices accredited to Syria are located. We likewise condemn the daily Israeli attacks against the southern suburb of Beirut, near the Hazmieh neighborhood. Such attacks have occurred in areas very close to the Cuban diplomatic missions in Damascus and Beirut.
Tero and Maria and their love for Cuba from Finland
It has been a pleasure to welcome at the Cuban Embassy in Finland the renowned musicologist Tero Toivanen and the distinguished member of our community, María la O Rodríguez, who magnify the name of Cuba in Finland, for the permanent promotion of its cultural values. Ambassador Beatriz Parra and Consul Adalberto Ávila thanked them for their messages of solidarity related to the recent events that our country is facing after the impact of two hurricanes and the earthquake in the eastern part of the Island.
Finnish snowy landscapes in Cuba, a gift from Seija Ulkuniemi
The Cuban Historical Environment Museum located in Santiago de Cuba exhibits today the exhibition “It is good for the skier to ski”, a gift from the photographer Seija Ulkuniemi, from cold Finland to the hot land. Until the 18th, the photographic exhibition transports the viewer through the winter landscapes of the Lapland region in Finland, and expresses the contrasts between the light and dark that emerge from the faint incidence of the sun's rays, in the frozen forests.
Cuba congratulates Estonia on the occasion of the 33rd Anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations
"Cuba and Estonia celebrate the 33rd Anniversary of the establishment of their diplomatic relations" says the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Cubaminrex. The greeting message also published through its users on social networks adds "We reaffirm the will to expand relations between our countries." The Republic of Cuba and the Republic of Estonia established diplomatic relations on November 13, 1991.
