Embassy of Cuba in Finland accompanies "Baila Baila" Salsa Festival
The Embassy of Cuba in Finland accompanied the celebration of the Dance Festival of the Cuban rhythm school "Baila Baila", which took place between the 14th and 17th of this month in this Nordic capital. On the night of Saturday, April 16, Consul Adalberto Ávila shared part of the celebration with Miguel San, precursor of this party with a Cuban flavor, which includes the participation of prestigious choreographers and dancers from Cuba, Italy and Brazil. The event is sponsored by the Salsa School of the same name, founded in 1993, and which is widely recognized in the country.
Cuba and Latvia for a closer relationship from Finland
About the interest in strengthening relations between Cuba and Latvia, spoke on Thursday the Ambassador of the Baltic country, H.E., Mrs. Kristīne Našeniece, and her Caribbean counterpart, Beatriz Parra González, both accredited in Finland, during a courtesy meeting held in this capital. At the end of this meeting, the Cuban Ambassador highlighted on Twitter: "We have had an excellent exchange and approach to one of our concurrences. We thank Kristīne for her warm welcome, which we know is only the beginning of a closer relationship between #Cuba and Latvia" .
Cuba and Namibia recall their historic relations from Helsinki
On this Tuesday morning, His Excellency Mr. Charles B. Josob, Namibian ambassador to Finland, received a courtesy visit from the head of the Cuban diplomatic mission, Beatriz Parra González, in his central headquarters in this capital. During the fraternal meeting, both authorities discussed issues that bring history closer to the independence and sovereignty of their countries, and that make bilateral ties closer in our days. Similarly, they referred to other issues on the international agenda.
Cuba approaches Turku in Finland
The city of Turku on the southwest coast of Finland, hosted activities dedicated to Cuba last weekend, starting with the visit of Ambassador Beatriz Parra González to this town considered the most country old. During her stay, the Cuban diplomat exchanged with Mr. Mika Akkanen, manager for International Affairs of the Government of the City, with whom she discussed the potential of the links between institutions of Cuba and Turku, and addressed issues of the national reality, particularly the impact of the blockade on daily life in Cuba and the popular consultation of the Family Code, among other issues.
