Ambassador of Cuba highlights strengths of Cuban tourism

On this Friday, the Cuban ambassador, Beatriz Parra González, held a meeting with Olga Petreviča, administrative director of the Latvian "Atlantic Travel" agency. During the exchange, the Cuban diplomat referred to the strengths that the country has to receive tourists, after the control of the Covid-19 pandemic with its own vaccines developed by the country.

On the morning of this Thursday, the Ambassador Beatriz Parra González, held a positive and interesting meeting with the President of the Friendship Group with Cuba in the Parliament of Finland, Ms. Heli Järvinen, MP for the Greens party. In the exchange, the diplomat updated the Cuban reality, referring in detail to the strategy to confront Covid-19, and the island's biotechnological results, as well as the impact of the blockade on the daily life of the people.

Cuba celebrates May Day in Finland

A few hours before the start of the traditional May Day march in Cuba, a group of friends and Cubans residing in Finland celebrated the date this Saturday, with music, poetry and stories that unite the two countries. At the meeting, representatives of the Left Youth of Finland made an artistic presentation with the choral interpretation of the work "I am a communist". For their part, the Cubans presented songs from the traditional repertoire, including the well-known "Hasta Siempre Comandante" and "Guantanamera." During the performance of the latter, listening to the simple verses of José Martí in the Finnish language was particularly significant, thanks to compatriots who maintain their roots in this Nordic country.
