Finnish youth leaders closer to Cuba
Ava Dahlvik and Hilla Koskela, members of the Finnish Left Youth board, arrived at the Cuban Embassy in this capital this Monday. In their meeting with Ambassador Beatriz Parra González, they were interested in learning about the youth organizations of the Greater Antilles and other topics on Cuba. At the meeting, the diplomat shared current national issues with the youth leaders and highlighted the scope of the United States blockade policy in the daily life of the Island. Likewise, she referred to the economic development strategy that has promoted the country and is already showing its first results.
From Finland and Latvia bridges of love are built against the blockade
From the Nordic cities of Helsinki, Mariehamn and Riga, Cubans residing in Finland and Latvia accompanied the world caravan against the blockade, held this Sunday in demand of this anti-Cuban policy. María Carla Roa expressed in a video broadcast on Twitter "The blockade is an act of war applied unilaterally that directly affects the Cuban people, but not only, it also affects other countries due to its extraterritorial nature. Down with the blockade against Cuba!"; while Publio López reaffirmed support for Cuba from Latvia.
Josefina Vidal: US migration policy towards Cuba is incoherent and differentiated
The Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Cuba, Josefina Vidal, urged the United States to comply with the bilateral migratory agreements, the press reported today. The deputy foreign minister stressed the importance of these agreements, signed in the 1990s, since when they are not fulfilled, migration peaks are generated, increased by the resurgence of coercive measures and obstacles to consular services. Cuba participates in Seminar for Heads of Missions in the city of Helsinki
The Cuban Ambassador to Finland, Beatriz Parra González, participated this Wednesday in the Annual Seminar for Heads of Missions, given by the Mayor of Helsinki, Juhana Vartiainen.
