Cuban Ambassador visits headquarters of the Food and Drugs Authority, Ghana

The Cuban Ambassador to Ghana Pedro Luis Despaigne González, was received at the headquarters of the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) by its Chief Executive Officer, Mrs. Delese Mimi Darko, with whom he discussed issues of common interest.

The Chief Executive Officer was accompanied by Mr. Sammy Ohene, FDA Board Chairman and Mrs. Mercy Mintah-Gyampoh, CEO of Trive Resources Ltd; the First Secretary of the embassy of Cuba, Julio César Sánchez, was also present at the meeting.

Cuban Ambassador talks about the diplomatic ties with Ghana

The Cuban Ambassador Pedro Luis Despaigne González, was interviewed at the Embassy, by the journalist of the international section of the Ghanaian Times Newspaper, Jonathan Donkor.

The Ambassador addressed issues related to the historical relations between Ghana and Cuba and the current affairs of the United States and Cuba, a matter about which the Cuban diplomat referred to the hostility of the current American administration against the Cuban Revolution, and how there has been a setback in these issue.

Official welcome to new Ghanaian doctors trained in Cuba

In the theater of the Business School of the University of Ghana was made the official welcome by the Ministry of Health of Ghana to the group of 119 new Health professionals who completed their Medicine studies in Cuba.

In the Freedom Center of Accra, was developed a Solidarity Meeting with the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela, organized by the Socialist Forum of Ghana. The Charge d'Affaires a.i. from the Embassy of Cuba, Julio César Sánchez, participated as Speaker in the Heritage and Cultural Society of Africa Event (HACSA). He was part of the International Panel dedicated to the impact of transatlantic trafficking and slavery in Liberia, Nigeria, Cameroon and Cuba.
