On the occasion of the 8th Congress of the Communist Party of Cuba, the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Greece (KKE) sends a warm revolutionary greeting to the Communists and the working class of Cuba and wishes your congress good luck. We express our solidarity with the heroic Cuban people, we condemn the imperialist aggression and we demand the lifting of the barbaric blockade and all the measures imposed by the United States against Cuba.

To unite and give coherence to the action of all the revolutionary forces to achieve and defend the independence of the Homeland, José Martí created the Cuban Revolutionary Party on April 10, 1892, whose roots and ideals were taken up again in 1965 by the Communist Party of Cuba, next to celebrate its Eighth Congress.
129 years ago, with his anticipatory vision, Martí proclaimed to the Cuban emigration the need to create an organ that would provide a programmatic line to the new war in preparation, and would give coherence and unity to the dispersed independence efforts under the same action program.
